Spock your bill

The Bank of Canada wants you to stop ‘spocking’ your $5 bills – however it isn’t illegal.

The Bank of Canada is asking everyone who wants to pay tribute to the late Leonard Nimoy on our $5 bills.

Leonard Nimoy, or Spock, on Star Trek passed away last Friday and in the wake of his death some fans of the character decided to tweet out a campaign to ‘spock your $5 bills’

Apparently, a large amount of the bills in circulation have been spocked. The process includes altering Sir Wilfred Laurier’s haircut and ears to make them pointy. Some fans even go the extra mile and add a Star Trek badge and Spocks’ mantra ‘Live Longer and Prosper’
