“Let’s take this way too far” Save Us Bacon campaign hopes to bring Kevin Bacon to Taber, Alberta to protest Community Standards bylaw.

It was only a matter of time until someone else made the connection to the 1984 teen flick Foot Loose and some residents  of Taber, Alberta – a small town south of Calgary known as the corn capital – are begging Kevin Bacon to come and save the day!

A campaign has been launched called “Save Us Bacon” on Kickstarter to help protest the new arguably unconstitutional by laws in the town. The bylaws give power to police to break up assemblies of people,  fines for swearing in public, and a nightly curfew for the town’s youth.

Wild, I know.

Anyways, the promo video which I have here for you, obviously pokes fun at silliness most of know these new bylaws to be. It’s a bit over the top, and as the promo says “… lets that this way too far”.
