This year is dubbed the “Ultimate Pi Day,” as the first 10 digits of Pi (3.141592653) will be represented, in day/time format, on March 14, 2015 (3/14/15) at precisely 9:26:53 a.m. for the first time in 100 years. This won’t be again for a hundred more!

If that isn’t enough to wet your mathematical appetite, March 14 is also Albert Einstein’s birthday! He would have been his 136-years-old!

We’re marking this momentous occasion with numerous math themed activities and brainteasers, putting your math prowess to the test! We’ll prove that Pi really isn’t that scary at all!

Activities include:

  • Blueberry Pie Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream

  • Laser Pi shows in the Planetarium

  • Circular Science demonstrations, puzzles, games, and more! Get trapped in our hyperboloid, tangle yourself up playing pi-wister, or defy gravity with our gyroscope.

  • Hula Hoop contest

You can also pick up your free Ultimate Pi Day button to prove that you were here to celebrate the most pi-rrific moment of the past 100 years.
