Tiny Talent Thursday: Meghan, 9, Takes Home First Prize for Her Speech on Racism

Public speaking isn’t for everyone, but for Meghan it got her in studio with the Mike Chalut Show.

Meghan, a student at Brentwood Elementary, got up on stage in front of her peers and delivered a speech on a topic that would make must of us adults shy way. Racism.

Meghan, who is 9 years, took home first prize and she delivered her speech. Meghan told us that she was inspired by the UN to make her mark on racism in Edmonton and the world as a whole.

Meghan will face all the other first prize winners from the Elk Island Public School District at the Young Speakers Invitational which takes place on April 30 at Festival Place in Sherwood Park. She will be competing against all the other grade 4s from all schools in the area.
