We had NO idea about this. Those videos of slow loris’s being tickled that we think are cute, are actually torture, according to International Animal Rescue.

Raising their arms is fearful reaction by the animal, as they lift their arms to gather venom from a gland in their armpits and elbows.

Apparently ever since the slow loris video went viral, more of them have been captured from the wild and sold illegally as pets. And now because of this, they are going extinct!

Sorry if this news made you down, but we thought it needed to be shared! Because we were ignorant to this information until now, and it’s pretty sad.

So, maybe we should all stop sharing those videos we thought were so cute, because they aren’t really cute or funny when you know the truth.
