Hockey Edmonton is the organization that runs all minor hockey in our city. They have voted to get rid of body checking in all house league play, and it will no longer be a part of the game. From here on out it will be called Community Hockey…

Teams that don’t have the ability to go to provincials will no longer be allowed to use an integral part of the pro game known as the body check.

Leagues that can still body check are as follows:

Bantam

Midget AAA

AA

A

B
