If you own an Ikea drawer unit, you'll want to read this new warning.

The Ikea Malm drawer unit has a new warning due to recent fatal incidents involving the furniture.

Last year 2 young children were killed after being crushed by the Malm unit.

This February 2 year old Ted was killed after the unit fell on him.

The Product Safety Commission is calling it a ‘tragic tip-over fatality‘. 

This is the warning Ikea has put on the Malm.

Really the point you need to take from this is that dressers NEED to be wall mounted, especially if you have a young child. 

And if you own a Malm unit, PLEASE mount it, because from the cases it seems like it tips over easily.
