A DATE HAS FINALLY BEEN SET!

A movie version of the musical ‘Wicked‘ ( which was based off the book Wicked by Gregory MaGuire ) is set to be made by 2019!!

The musical is a prequel to the story of Wizard Of Oz. It shows the character development of Elphaba, who eventually becomes the Wicked Witch Of The West.

Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel played main characters Elphaba and Glinda in the award winning Broadway musical. No word yet on who will be playing the characters in the movie.

 

BUT LIKE…ARE YOU EXCITED!?

(Or maybe nervous because you’ve wanted this for a while but also are scared they can’t do the musical justice??)

 

*The movie adaptation is being directed by Stephen Daldry, with a screenplay from Wicked’s original scribes, Winnie Holzman and lyricist Stephen Schwartz.*
