Say goodbye to the Edmonton Oiler’s cheerleaders. The Octane Cheer Team has been cut as of last night.

With the move to the new area, the Oilers Entertainment Group said, “The organization is looking for a new direction related to the fan experience, both in-game and in the community”

The Octane Cheerleaders made history by being the first-ever Canadian NHL cheer team.

A new promotional crew called Oilers Orange & Blue Ice Crew will be formed for the 2016-2017 season.

The new crew is still taking on member’s, so if you’re interested you can look into applying here: oilers.nhl.com
