The power of a crazy hangover and a glowing Facebook post!

69-year-old John McMillan is the owner of Whitbie’s Fish & Chips in west Lethbridge, and up until a few days ago, business was “absolutely terrible”. It was his dream to open this restaurant when he moved here from Scotland, but McMillan hasn’t been able to pay himself a salary since business has been extreeeeemely slow.

BUT when an ordinary, very hungover man named Colin Ross came in earlier this week, he felt compelled to help after talking to McMillan. He told the Calgary Eyeopener;

“I had a few drinks the night before and I was feeling like some grease.”

Ross posted a rant on Facebook supporting McMillan and raving about the amaaaazing food. Since the post was published, it has been shared THOUSANDS of times and now the restaurant has been jam-packed!

McMillan says that business is BOOMING, and to prove it, Colin went back and saw just how booming it was.

The line is OUT. THE. DOOR!!! This makes me so happy! Now I need to go to Lethbridge to eat these delicious fish and chips!
