Humpback Whale is off the endangered species list !

This makes us very happy!

A decision by the National Marine Fisheries Service has declared most populations of humpback whales no longer need endangered species protections.

The Humpback whale has been an endangered species since 1970 , they were nearly extinct through the middle of the 20th century.

An official international ban on whaling took effect in 1966, since then the number of Humpback whales have gradually increased.
