Obvious New Study Says Dogs Are More Lovable Than Babies

DUUUUUH.

You can now officially say your dog is like your baby, not that it wasn’t really official before.

A study from the Massachusetts General Hospital compared the brain scans of women looking at images of their child versus images of their dog and the results really aren’t surprising; at least for me, the dog obsessed girl.

The areas in the brain governing functions like emotion, reward, affiliation, visual processing and social interaction all had similar levels of increased activity when participants viewed either their child AND their dog! So basically, dogs give as much joy to moms as their kids, maybe even more.

I guess my parents saying I was a mistake but the dog was meant to be, was a true statement after all.
