Drake hosted a special birthday episode of his OVO Sound Radio on Sunday night (he turns 30 on Monday) and released some new music (and played some of his classics ) for his fans!

Drake revealed that he’s going to be releasing a project in December, titled More Life. The project will be a playlist, not a mixtape and will feature all new, original music.

“I’m off like mixtapes, I want to do a playlist. I want to give you a collection of songs that become the soundtrack to your life, so this More Life: The Playlist. Like I said, dropping in December. All original music from me. You might hear some tunes from the family on there, but I’m just really excited. I had a great tour, I had a great summer. And most people, I guess, would like go probably take a break. But for me I just want to get right back to it. Be with the people again.”

He debuted 3 of those songs during his OVO Sound Radio set: Two Birds One Stone, Sneakin (featuring 21 Savage) and Fake Love.

On Two Birds, One Stone Drake appears to take a shot at Kid Cudi with the line “You were the man on the moon now you’re going through your phases”. ‘Man on the Moon’ is the name of Cudi’s debut studio album. The subliminal shot makes sense since Cudi called out Drake and Kanye in a series of tweets a few months back.

Sneakin featuring 21 Savage is just a HOT record that people on the Internet absolutely loved.

Fake Love may have been my favourite record. Drake spits, “I got fake people showing fake love to me, straight up to my face”, a line that could probably be a shot at several different rappers (or former love interests??)

To kick off the birthday edition of his radio show, Drizzy played tracks from his mixtapes So Far Gone and Comeback Season.

During the first hour, he played some music (“Ocean Drive”) from Atlanta rapper 21 Savage and the Internet LOVED it.

They were a little more lukewarm when Drizzy dropped music from Riff Raff…

He got them back when he dropped new music from OVO’s Roy Woods called “Just Like That Part II”.

Then he shocked a lot of people by playing something off one of the more critically acclaimed albums of the year, Solange’s A Seat at the Table; Drizzy played ‘Mad’ featuring Lil Wayne.

The ‘6 God’ switched things up and tapped into some dancehall and played a Popcaan set that definitely had people jamming. He also played brand new music from Popcaan!

Prior to the show, Drake posted a picture of 21 Savage to celebrate the 24 year old rapper’s birthday with the caption, “young October king with all the juice right now”; this of course added fuel that a collaboration between the two was in the works.

Drake also posted a picture of himself at 2 years old with both of his parents and hype Sunday’s show with a picture of the late Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, with the caption, “MOOD”.
