Kermit The Frog Is Getting A New Voice

Since the death of the Muppets creator, Jim Hansen, in 1990, Steve Whitmire has voiced and moved the beloved character of Kermit The Frog.

It is sudden and sad news to fans that Steve  will no longer be filling that role.

A Muppets Studio spokesperson said it could be long time voice actor and puppeteer Matt Vogel, who takes over. Matt has voiced and moved characters such as Big Bird, The Count, and Robin The Frog.

According to TIME, Steve Whitmire did not leave on his own accord, and is incredibly devastated by the change.
