Robbie The Intern:  I’m trying to raise as much money as I can to buy someone a car. I asked listeners to hire me for odd jobs like shoveling dirt, mowing lawns, cleaning, & hauling- but I only managed to raise $1350. Turns out you can’t get a very good car for that much. So…my solution was…GAMBLE IT!

We talked about gambling the earned money on the show and there were mixed feelings about it:

  • “I love Robbie and he’s so sweet but that’s the dumbest idea ever”
  • “Do it up Robbie! Red is always the answer”
  • “I wouldn’t risk the gamble :D it can all disappear”
  • “Robbie- I say go for it”
  • “Stupid stupid idea”
  • “Robbie Noooooooooooooooooooooo”

Then, we got a call from Ken at GoKia who generously donated $1000, as long as I didn’t gamble the money I earned. What a good guy! But, Pepper was caught up in the gambling excitement and decided to put up $500 for me to take to Yellowhead Casino. You can hear that conversation here:

I took Pepper’s $500… Put it all on Red… And, here’s what happened:

With the money I raised, Ken from Go Kia’s generous donation, and my gambling payoff- we’re sitting at $3350 to buy someone a car with.

Now, we can get serious about some car shopping!!
