City hall is always beautiful this time of the year, and to make it even better, you can skate while you take it all in. Keep an eye out for the city’s announcement of when the rink will be open to the public!

This one is definitely one of the more well-known rinks in Edmonton. With options to skate right on the ice at Hawrelak Lake, or in the park skating rink it’s not hard to understand why. In past years there have been washrooms, a skate change area, skate rentals, concession, and lockers to make sure you can make a whole day out of it your ice-scapades but things may look a bit different this year.

Victoria Park Oval & Iceway

The illuminated iceway makes a beautiful place to skate, and stop for the perfect winter photo op. This should definitely be on the list for one of your winter dates. In previous years, the rink was open from 11 am to 10 pm, but the oval is usually open from 10 am to 10 pm. The rink has access to washrooms, skate change rooms, lockers, and a water bottle fill-up station.
