VIA VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130)/Denise Wong – Vancouver actor Ryan Reynolds continues to show kindness to his fans.

It all started with a tweet sent over the weekend from a woman named Krissie. She said her friend was recently given the devastating news that he only has a couple of months to live.

In her tweet @KrissieCosplay, who is from Australia, said 17-year-old Josh “has been fighting to survive since the day he was born.”

“He has been battling Leukaemia and at the age of 15 he has been diagnosed with Stage IV Glioblastoma Multi forma brain cancer. He has went through 2 major brain surgeries, radiation and chemotherapy. Following his first surgery he was left paralysed down one side requiring 24 hour care and requiring a wheel chair.”

She said Josh’s only wish is to meet or receive a message from Marvel actors, specifically mentioning Ryan Reynolds. She noted Deadpool “is his favourite.”

Reynolds stepped up with a message for Josh.

“I just wanted to send you this video and let you know that we love you, that we’re thinking about you,” Reynolds said.

“I know that you’re a Deadpool fan and a superhero fan, and I think that’s amazing. I also think that’s kind of funny… After hearing about you and hearing about your story and everything that you’re going through, I think it’s pretty much a fact that you have more courage and more strength in your pinky finger than any superhero does in their entire body.”
