We all remember big Georges from his 6 year stint in the copper & blue. Well now he’s winning drag queen competitions!

 

Laraque won the $1,000 prize at the Montreal Pride event after performing Whitney Houston’s ‘I Will Always Love You‘ in a wedding dress, and promptly donated the money back to the festival.

 

J’ai adoré mon expérience ce soir au concours de “drag queen” pour la Fierté Montréal / Montréal Pride! Et le gagnant est… Hahaha Loved my experience tonight at the “drag queen” contest for the Montreal Pride! And the winner is… lol

Laraque still calls Edmonton one of his lifelong homes and said he “would just encourage all the citizens in Edmonton to help out that cause, and to make sure that everybody’s accepted in spite of their religion, sexual orientation or race or anything. Because it’s so important.”

 

 

Georges also said “Edmonton is one of the greatest cities in the world to live. The diversity is part of us.” Read more here.
