During Ellie Goulding’s stop at BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge, she took on The Weeknd’s ‘Call Out My Name’ and her voice gave me feels all over!

If you’re asking yourself if Ellie and Abel have ever collaborated, the answer is no however, their songs were featured in Fifty Shades.  The soundtrack included Ellie’s ‘Love Me Like You Do’ and The Weeknd’s ‘Earned It.’  Ellie’s performance on BBC was packed with emotion (I mean, it’s Ellie!) so much emotion that after her performance she says, “I’m hot, I’m hot… in temperature!”

When asked why she chose to cover ‘Call Out My Name’ Ellie says, “I didn’t necessarily think about the context… I just really love the way [The Weeknd] sings in this song. It’s very meaningful and very heartfelt.”  And did you know that back in 2012, Ellie covered one of The Weeknd’s biggest tracks, ‘High For This?’ Listen below.

The Weeknd loved Ellie’s cover that he personally reached out to her and explained how much of a fan he was.  And in case you missed the ending of Ellie’s performance, she threw in some J.T. ‘Cry Me A River.’

In addition to covering The Weeknd, Ellie also sang her latest ‘Close To Me’ which features Diplo and Swae Lee.  Check out Ellie’s performance below.
