And what a year it’s been for Taylor Swift – successful album, tour and now she can add most influential woman on Twitter onto her list of accomplishments.

According to a social media analysis by the name of Brandwatch, turns out T-Shift comes in first place while ex-bestie Katy Perry is second (and yes, Katy is still most followed on Twitter).  Here’s what’s funny – during the entire 2018 year, Taylor on tweeted a total of THIRTEEN times which, according to Billboard, were shared in the first half of the year.  As Billboard explains, “Swift promoted her ‘Delicate’ music video five times, her Reputation Stadium Tour three times, her ‘End Game’ music video twice and her Spotify playlist once.  She also praised James Bay’s cover of ‘Delicate’ and shared her brother’s movie Cover Versions.”

So how did Brandwatch come up with these results? The site reads, “The accounts were ranked according to a selection of criteria that added together to create their influence score.  This is a measure of how  influential an account is over time, based on the level of genuine engagement they are creating.  While lots of followers, retweets and replies will help, the more influential the people they engage with, the better the score.”

I guess Kim K wasn’t too pleased with this!
