COVID-19

Alberta reported 364 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday, bringing the provinces total to 4,488 active cases. An additional 41 variant cases were also reported. 259 Albertans are currently being treated in hospital with 38 patients occupying ICU beds.

Alberta is sending out 924,000 rapid tests across the province to help decrease the spread. The tests are going to sites that are most vulnerable, such as retirement homes and airports.

Daylight Savings

It’s that time again! We are losing an hour of our weekend on Sunday!  Daylight savings begins March 14 at 2:00 AM.

Alberta Premier Jason Kenney has been talking about the vote to scrap Daylight Saving Time, but he hasn’t put forward anything official yet.

 

The Grammy Awards

The 2021 GRAMMY Awards are airing this Sunday, March 14!

Beyoncé has received more nominations than any other artist this year. She has nine nominations which include Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

The Weeknd announced that he will be boycotting the Grammys from now on. Drake, Kanye West, Frank Ocean, and other artists have already boycotted the Award Show.
