Demi Lovato has released her highly anticipated new album, Dancing with the Devil … The Art of Starting Over.  The album, which includes 19 tracks, is separated into two parts – the ‘Prelude’ includes Demi’s previously released single, Anyone, along with Dancing with the Devil and ICU.  The remaining 16 songs, The Art of Starting Over, are part of a new chapter in Demi’s recovery journey.

Demi also added her previously released collaboration with Sam Fischer, What Other People Say, plus three additional collaborations with Noah Cyrus (Easy), Saweetie (My Girlfriends are My Boyfriends), and Ariana Grande (Met Him Last Night).

Talking about her collaboration with Ariana on SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up on Hits 1, Demi revealed, “She, you know, knew about the story behind it and everything. And she’s a close friend of mine, so she knew my story pretty well, and so when she started writing this song, she actually thought about me and… she wrote the song with me in mind, and then she played it for me. And I was like, ‘I love it. Like, you should just stay on the track.'”

Initially, Ariana said she preferred to be a “mystery, harmony lady,” but Demi ‘convinced her to be on the same song together,’ “She was like, ‘are you sure?’ And I was like, ‘yes.’ And so she, she, you know, added her, her vocals and, she’s just so she’s so talented, so, so great, and I’m so grateful to have a friend like her,” Demi shares.

Demi also released a music video for the album’s lead single, co-directed by Michael D. Ratner.  Demi, who was hospitalized following her 2018 overdose, recreates one of the darkest moments of her life.  Watch the video below.
