The Shy Girl Club Picnic

The Shy Girl Club is having an event this Sunday for all you introverts out there! You can connect and make new friends while enjoying a nice little picnic and the view of the Walterdale Bridge. Bring some blankets or chairs and even snacks if you like. Games and ice breakers will be provided at this event. For more information – check out their website here.

Oilers vs. Jets / Oilers Fan Day 

Our very own Edmonton Oilers take on the Winnipeg Jets for a preseason game this Sunday at 4 pm. Bring the whole family and cheer on our boys in orange and blue! Tickets start at just $30 – get them here! It’s also Oilers Fan Day this Saturday – head down to Rogers Place for some sweet events! Admission is free and it runs from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm.

Luke’s Legacy Fun Run 

Grab your running shoes and take a little jog at Luke’s Legacy Fun Run this Sunday! Funds are being raised for The  Stollery Children Hospital Foundation. Aside from the run, there are plenty of other activities for kids including a DJ, face painting, a balloon artist, and refreshments. For more information or to simply donate – click here.

Edmonton International Film Festival 

The EIFF has already begun, but it runs all throughout this weekend until October 1. This festival showcases high quality cinema and celebrates the diversity within film and its audiences. EIFF is also an Oscar qualifying festival for short films, live action & animation. Get your tickets and see the full film schedule here.

Art Gallery of Alberta Tour 

You can enjoy some lovely art at the Art Gallery of Alberta every weekend! Public tours are guided by the Education and Learning staff and you can learn cool facts about the featured artists & their artwork. Public tours are free with admission and run at 1 pm, 2 pm, and 3 pm on weekends. Check out the current exhibitions here. Also, admission is free for Alberta students and children under 18.
