Ingredients:
– Cooking Spray
– 2 cups white sugar
– ¾ cup of water
– ½ cup of corn syrup
– Red food colouring (16 drops)
– 5-6 medium Granny Smith Apples

Directions:
Grease a baking sheet with cooking spray and then line with parchment paper. Wash apples and using a melon scooper, start removing little balls from your apples. Once you have all of your apple balls, take a candy stick, and insert into your apple balls.

In a medium sauce pan mix together sugar, water, corn syrup and food colouring and bring to a boil.
You will want the candy to reach a temperature of 300-310 degrees. You can use your candy thermometer to obtain the desired temperature.
Once temperature is reached, remove from the heat immediately. You will need to work quickly to dip each of the apple balls, ensuring they are coated in the candy mixture. And then placing on your cooking sheet.

Pro-tip: You can slice the bottom of your apple balls so that they stand up easier…

Let cool before serving.
