“He originally scheduled two back-to-back dates at the Inglewood venue for his After Hours Til Dawn Tour in September, but The Weeknd canceled his second show in the beginning of his set after he lost his voice,” according to Billboard. “I don’t know what just happened…but I just lost my voice. This is killing me, I don’t want to stop the show but I can’t give you the concert I want to give you right now.  My voice went out during the first song and I’m devastated. Felt it go and my heart dropped. My deepest apologies to my fans here. I promise I’ll make it up to you with a new date,” Abel said at the time.

Abel’s last music TV special (The Weeknd x The Dawn FM Experience) dropped on Amazon Prime Video in Feb. of last year.  It was a theatrical expansion of his 2022 album release, Dawn FM.

Although fans have been patiently waiting for Abel’s original series, The Idol to drop (it’s set to premiere on the streaming platform sometime this year), we now have something else to look forward to.  ‘Live at SoFi Stadium’ Concert Special drops Feb. 25 on HBO Max.
