When it comes to where your plants will live, getting the right amount of sun is important.
Low Light
Ferns
There are over 12,000 species of ferns worldwide, from miniature to towering tree forms. Most ferns prefer a shady area and moist conditions.
ZZ
ZZ is short for zamioculcas zamiifolia and tolerates neglect. They accept low-light conditions and their waxy leaves reflect sunlight and brighten rooms.
Medium Light
Snake Plant
The snake plant has sword-like leaves that can grow from six inches to 12 feet tall in its native habitat but usually reaches two feet tall when grown indoors.
Pothos
These fast-growing plants can live with basic care and are adaptable to various light, soil and moisture conditions. They can grow between 12 to 18 inches of length in just one month! The pothos, however, is toxic to pets.
High Light
Lavender
All varieties require well-drained soil and to ensure they get that, you can mix in sand or gravel to help. The herb can be used in culinary and makes a great addition to borders to your garden.
Spider Plant
Spider plants can produce tiny white flowers on their stems and even baby spider plants, called “pups.” NASA highlighted them as having the ability to help purify the air, which can benefit your home.
