Mariah Carey’s weight has fluctuated throughout her career, but the singer’s results weren’t from the popular weight loss drugs that everyone is clinging to. Instead, she attributes her figure to old-fashioned diet and exercise. Carey swears by a high-protein, low-carb diet consisting of salmon, capers, and veggies while sticking to 1,500 calories per day. She works out thrice a week, mixing 60 to 90 minutes of cardio with strength training. In 2017, she underwent gastric bypass surgery to shrink her stomach. The surgery resulted in a 30lb weight loss.
