The upcoming film adaptation of the Broadway hit ‘Wicked,’ starring Ariana Grande, has rescheduled its release date to avoid clashing with ‘Moana 2’ at the box office. The film will now premiere on November 22, five days earlier than originally planned. This move is a strategic decision to prevent a clash with a similar female demographic audience. Directed by Jon M. Chu, ‘Wicked’ is a prequel to ‘The Wizard of Oz’ and features a star-studded cast, including Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande in lead roles. The film will be released in two parts, with ‘Wicked II’ set to follow a year later, on November 26, 2025.
