Taylor Swift’s album “The Tortured Poets Department” has spent 11 consecutive weeks at number one on the Billboard 200, tying her previous records with “1989” and “Fearless.” The album earned 114,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the latest tracking week. If it reaches the 12th week at number one, it will be the first album by a woman to achieve this since Adele’s “21” in 2011-12. The Tortured Poets Department and Whitney Houston’s 1987 album Whitney are the only female albums to spend 11 weeks at number one The latter spent 11 weeks at number one from its debut. The Billboard 200 ranks the most popular albums based on multi-metric consumption, including album sales, track equivalent albums, and streaming equivalent albums.
