It’s normal for gas to go up and down in price, but there might be some bigger jumps coming soon.

Gas production problems in  Alberta and the US are being blamed for the shortage at the pumps.

Dan McTeague, a petroleum analyst commented that the shortage is due to an “undisclosed problem” with Suncor and other refineries in the States.

It’s also being said that Fort McMurray fires may have had an impact on production at the oil sands.

Some of us on the Pepper & Dylan Show have already seen a few Petro Cans completely or almost closed!

Right now word on the street is a 12 cent hike might occur later today. Many gas stations already had the hike yesterday, but those that haven’t will most likely make the jump by the end of tonight.  It appears as though only Petro Canada stations are being extremely affected, but if things get worse there could be a domino effect that would impact other gas stations.
