As a life long Edmontonian I find it hard to believe that we aren’t sending enough complaints about potholes… However City Data has led media outlets to speculate otherwise?

potholes

According to released city numbers 450,000 potholes were filled in 2014, but city data shows that only 13,275 of them were reported through 311.

Bob Dunford, Director of roadway maintenance spoke to Metro Edmonton saying the city patrols main roads looking for potholes and find most of the ones that need filled.

“I would say that if you look at it about 90 to 95 per cent of the potholes we find ourselves,” he said.

That might be the most shocking thing I have heard all year, soon as summer hits it seems like everyone and their dads are phoning in complaints about Potholes…

Do we need to start phoning in more potholes, should we get an app to report them??? With that being said, I have to say every year city workers seem to handle our pothole filled roads better every year. So when your stuck driving in construction just relax, its better than a flat tire.
