Halsey stopped by The Tonight Show last week, where they revealed how they were approached about a potential biopic.

Halsey revealed to Jimmy Fallon that they met their partner Alev Aydin back in 2017 when he was hired to write a screenplay about their life.  According to Halsey, Alev followed them on tour and interviewed them throughout the years and ‘after being friends for a long time, fell in love.’

When Jimmy asked ‘which celebrity should play Halsey,’ they both had one person in mind – Millie Bobby Brown.  “Millie would be great.  But I don’t think I’m famous enough to cast Millie.  It’s kind of uncanny how much we look alike.  It’s like, ‘Oh no, we actually look just like sisters.'”  When Millie heard about the casting chat between Halsey and Jimmy, she posted to her Insta-story, “sooooo down.”

Unfortunately for Halsey, not everyone is down with a biopic.  Haley noticed some backlash and addressed the negative Nancy’s in a tweet: “I just wanna say RE: “why would Halsey have a biopic,” I didn’t show up somewhere and ask someone to make a movie about me.  A studio bought the rights to make it ONE DAY and I said, “Ok! Cool.”  Best thing that ever happened to me because the guy hired to write it became my baby daddy!”
