New Month! Time to get Motivated with Mike Chalut Sr.

Hopefully you enjoyed last month’s book “Tuesdays with Morrie”.

Like any book reader , they all usually have a favorite author,  so with that in mind, I must say I enjoy Mitch Albom’s novels and so I’m recommending we continue with another of his inspirational books.

  “The Magical Strings of Frankie Presto” is a great read where you will find the story as told by Music (a character in the book) about a passionate, talented guitar player and his ups and downs in life that changes peoples lives due to the magical strings he acquires from a Gypsy lady and his love for music. The book is written very uniquely by Mitch Albom. You are going to love it.

I actually recently acquired this book from Mitch Albom himself during a book signing in our city. It was again one of those books that I could not but help get entangled in Frankie’s life .  His musical talents takes him through the era of Rock and Roll stars that he associates himself with over his career.  It is really cool so to speak to read about the past stars which I know you will recognize.

The power of ones talents is demonstrated throughout the book as is the passion of an individual and how passion drives any persons life through good times and bad. Find a passion using your talents and you will have a rewarding life.

This past week I played golf with a good friend who has musical talent himself and we discussed what really matters in life and what is it that can make people truly happy.  Of course we came up with the answer that coincides with the book. And that is you must do what makes you happy.  No one else can really make you happy.  Your happiness comes from recognizing the talent you have and using them with passion and love.  You can also change peoples lives that you come in contact with.  Needless to say I recommended this book to my friend Peter who  is  a talented person who loves music and loves to play his guitar.

Another thought is that music really does drive people to action.  Think of how it can also make you feel good about yourself and what is happening around.you. That is why you listen to  91.7 the bounce and your favourite songs right.! Uniquely enough Music tells the story of Frankie Presto

Pick up the book “The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto by Mitch Albom.  Get caught up in his musical life and his passion for the guitar.
