Duke the Great Pyrenees is the only dog that’s ever been elected mayor in America, and he proudly serves the people of Cormorant, a tiny Western Minnesota town with nearly 1,000 residents. He was just reelected for his third year-long term. Duke is a hit with the residents and as it appears to be a wonderful mayor!

According to Duke’s owner David Rick, the pup was originally elected by accident via write-in votes. Only 12 votes were reportedly cast in that 2014 election.
