Edmonton Fall Home Show 2016 is October 21st – 23rd at Edmonton Expo Centre. This is the biggest home renovation event of the year, and we talked to Danny from Community YEG to find out how you can find the best home for you! He gave us some great tips!

4 things to ask yourself before buying a home:

1. Where do you spend most of your time (areas of the city, particular places/shops/recreation facilities)?
2. What is your 5 year plan? If you plan on being in a home for less than 5 years, considering resale rather than specific personal preference may be important. If you have a family in your future, do you need more space to grow into?
3. What makes a house feel like a home? Do you like knowing your neighbours or being close to a grocery store? Perhaps it’s important to you to be close to nature… if that’s the case, your search can be narrowed. 
4. What are the non-negotiables for your home? Is there are particular style of home you must have (detached vs. attached, high rise vs. low rise, etc.)?
