If you’re buying gifts for young children this Christmas you’ll want to consult this list before making certain purchases.

We all know that pretty much any toy, object and even the air around your wee one could be considered dangerous, but there’s some toys that get larger warnings than others.

Don’t feel like you SHOULDN’T buy these toys, but understand that watch@toysafety.org (W.A.T.C.H – World Against Toys Causing Harm) has done the research and taken the time to warn you about these specific ones, and they probably wouldn’t do that if there wasn’t reason to be a bit concerned.

According to W.A.T.C.H, these are the toys to watch out for this season:

PEPPA PIG’S MUDDY PUDDLES FAMILY

This toy has been criticized of not having the proper age restrictions on it. Some boxes say 3+, others lack any age information at all.

There is also a major choking hazard warning.

WARCRAFT DOOMHAMMER

This toy may appear to be one piece, but there’s actually some very small parts that can come off easily and are a choking hazard.

The other main hazard is POTENTIAL FOR BLUNT IMPACT INJURIES. turns out the plastic toy is actually a bit denser and heavier than you might expect.

KIDS TIME BABY CHILDREN’S ELEPHANT PILLOW

This toy won’t hurt your child, but is has a HAZARD:  POTENTIAL FOR SUFFOCATION! warning on it.

The toy says it’s recommended for cuddles under the age of 1, but Federal Hazardous Substances Act has banned pillows like this for infants.

W.A.T.C.H suggests gifting this to an older child if you want to buy it.

BABY MAGIC FEED AND PLAY BABY

This toy has no warnings by the manufacturer, but has been given HAZARD: POTENTIAL FOR INGESTION INJURIES!

The doll is fine for kids, the worries presented are with the small spoons that come with it.

NERF RIVAL APOLLO XV-700 BLASTER

HAZARD: POTENTIAL FOR EYE INJURIES! Has been given to this toy.

Honestly from what we’ve read, this toy sounds both awesome and dangerous. Adults would have fun with this! But adults could ALSO probably accidentally shoot themselves in the eye…so be careful, and really, just don’t be stupid! (And obviously DON’T buy this for your young kid!)

BANZAI BUMP N’ BOUNCE BODY BUMPERS

These bubble outfits seem fun! And if you’re safe, they probably are. Unfortunately they are hazardous and can cause injury or death if hit too hard, and it’s VERY HIGHLY recommended to wear a helmet and padding (not included with toy) if playing in the balls.

Body-Bumpers

THE GOOD DINOSAUR GALLOPING BUTCH

This toy has a choking hazard AND a HAZARD: POTENTIAL FOR PUNCTURE WOUND INJURIES!

It’s hard to tell in the picture, but apparently this dino’s tail is VERY pointy!

FLYING HEROES SUPERMAN LAUNCHER

This toy has a HAZARD: POTENTIAL FOR EYE AND FACIAL INJURIES! warning.

The warnings are pretty obvious though. Parents, make sure your child is old enough to understand that they have to point it away from their, or your, face.

Superman-Launcher

PEPPY PUPS

Strangulation hazard on this puppy toy. The leash is short for an adult, but for a child (especially under the age of 3) the leash is long enough to accidentally strangle a child.

The leash is technically longer than it’s supposed to be, rules say 12 inch and this one is 31 inches.

*Again, we’re pretty sure your smart and know what’s safe and not for your kids, but these toys have been specifically pointed out to have hazards and incorrect warnings.*
