YES, we live in Canada and not the states, BUT, this is still great news!

We aren’t saying it’s a fact…but the U.S. is a very influential country, so when they make change, the world notices!

Mississippi was the last place to declare the ban on same-sex couples adopting children as unconstitutional. And yesterday the 16 year old ban was lifted.

This welcome decision affirms that qualified same-sex couples in Mississippi seeking to become adoptive or foster parents are entitled to equal treatment under the law, and commits to the well-being of children in our state who need loving homes</em>.” – The Human Rights Campaign’s Mississippi state director Rob Hill.
