More than 600 Edmontonians got tattooed Sunday to show support for people suffering from depression. A dozen local tattoo artists donated their time for the event, which was organized by the Edmonton Mental Health Awareness Committee and inspired by Project Semicolon in the United States. The semicolon mark is symbolic of overcoming depression by representing a sentence that an author could have ended, but chose not to.
