A pregnant woman was allegedly beaten up by two Albuquerque Dairy Queen workers over an ice cream order.

A three-month pregnant woman is suing two Albuquerque Dairy Queen employees after allegedly being punched repeatedly over an ice cream order in August.

Angelika Coakley-Vargas claims Takisha Archuleta, an Albuquerque Dairy Queen worker, and another employee both attacked her after Coakley-Vargas went into the store to ask for her order to be re-made.

Coakley-Vargas had ordered a Georgia Mud Fudge Blizzard through the drive thru but was handed “some vanilla concoction.” When she entered the store to fix her order, the workers refused.

“I just like slid the cup across the counter towards her and it tipped over onto the counter and I walked out” Coakley-Vargas said to KRQE News.

That’s when the alleged incident occurred.

“I screamed, ‘I’m pregnant, I’m pregnant.’ They said ‘I don’t give a f—‘,” said Coakley-Vargas.

“They were just punching and punching and punching. It was bad,” she added.

Coakley-Vargas went back to her car where her fiancée had been waiting and called police. She also went to a hospital where her baby was deemed okay, even though she was injured.

A police report said Archuleta told officials she had followed Coakley-Vargas to tell her she wasn’t welcomed back to the store when Coakley-Vargas put Archuleta in a headlock.

KRQE tried to contact the store but the company declined to comment.
