CFIA says any recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the store where they were purchased

Before you tip back that cooler this long weekend, a warning from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency that a number of Smirnoff Ice brand alcoholic beverages have been recalled because of possible glass contamination.

Diageo Canada has issued the voluntary recall and there have been no reported injuries from drinking the product.

The Smirnoff Ice products recalled are all sold in bottles and include:

  • Peach Bellini
  • Green Apple
  • Raspberry
  • Cranberry & Lime
  • Smirnoff Ice
  • Watermelon Mimosa
  • Orange Screwdriver
  • Smirnoff Ice Light
  • The Life of the Party Pack

The CFIA says the coolers were sold across Canada and any recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the store where they were purchased.

There have been no reported injuries associated with the consumption of these products.
