While most 12-year-olds find themselves back in school this week, Sherwood Park’s Taylor Hatala is dancing in Janet Jackson’s Unbreakable World Tour

On Friday, Taylor Hatala, 12, will be in Edmonton as part of the Janet Jackson Unbreakable World Tour, which officially kicked off in Vancouver on Monday.

“To have the opportunity to work with the biggest female icon in the music industry is the most amazing feeling in the world!” said Hatala, in a written statement. “This is beyond my wildest dreams. Thank you to Janet and her team for this unreal opportunity! I am so so grateful!”

The tour will span seven months, and includes stops all over Canada and in the United States and Japan.

Hatala was just three-years-old when she started dancing, starting with tap, jazz, and ballet dance.

She began making waves online through posting dance videos on social media. Her Facebook page has over 55,000 followers, and her YouTube page has garnered over 92,000 subscribers with her latest video posted in July garnering over four million views.

She has since gone on to perform on the Ellen Degeneres Show in October 2014 with dance choreographer Laurence Kaiwai dancing to Nicki Minaj’sAnaconda and was re-invited to the show to perform Taylor Swift’s Shake it Offin December 2014.

Jackson’s Unbreakable Tour will make its way into Calgary on Wednesday before coming to Edmonton. Tickets are still available at ticketmaster.ca.
